NON WATERPROOF: Lasts 3 - 6 months but if taken extreme care of can last up to 1 year. It is also very comfortable and breathable. The base size is 8x10 

WATERPROOF: Lasts 6 - 12 months but if taken extreme care of can last longer. This unit is very durable for water activities and is able to be washed while on scalp.

Takes 1-2 weeks. 12 hours each day to hand tie (ventilation) each unit
