Is it necessary to shave my head in order to wear a hair unit?

No, if you don’t want to shave your head, clips are an option. But generally speaking Yes, this way the hair unit can effectively conceal receding hairlines. It's crucial for our hair pieces to be securely attached, which requires a certain amount of surface area. Therefore, Q applies the hair units to typically cover not only the receding hairline but also the entire front and sometimes the top of the head. Mr. Quiñones analyzes each customer’s unique hair situation to recommend the best solution for them.

Is it necessary to shave my head in order to wear a hair unit?

A properly attached hair system will remain secure on your head for weeks, withstanding all your daily activities such as bathing, showering, going to the gym, swimming, dancing, and even walking in strong winds. The base is attached to your head using your preferred method (tape or adhesive) and is then cut and blended to be undetectable. Our hair systems are designed to handle situations that cause sweating. During the consultation, Mr. Quiñones will discuss your profession, lifestyle, and suggest solutions tailored to fit your life and requirements to ensure the hair system meets all your needs.

Is it difficult to maintain the hair system? And can I style it?

Caring for a hair system is just as easy as taking care of your natural hair. The guidelines are nearly identical, with the main difference being the need for a bit more caution with your system. Mr. Quiñones will provide you with the proper instructions /maintenance techniques on how to maintain your unit at home. In addition Hair Replacement Crown highly recommends for you come in for a unit touch up every 2-6 weeks. During a unit touch up Mr. Quiñones assistants will remove your unit, wash it, then wash your scalp, and Q will put the unit back on.

How do I sleep with my hair unit on?

You can sleep wearing your hair unit with a bandana or a du-rag to cover your hair at night (the bandana or du-rag shouldn't be tied too tight.)

Can I take off and clean my hair unit myself?

We do not recommend this due to the risk of damaging your natural hair strands, the extensions, as well as shedding and breakage that may occur when attempting to remove the unit on your own. But yes, you can maintain your hair unit on your own. Our services also include training that covers each step of the process. Mr. Quiñones expert system includes all the products necessary to clean and maintain both your hair unit and your scalp.

(PRODUCTS: Mighty Tight Wig Adhesive, Mighty Fast Release Adhesive Remover, & Mighty Clean Wig Shampoo.)

Can I purchase and supply my own hair?

Hair Replacement Crown prides themselves on using the best products during their hair installation process. Due to quality control, we do not allow clients to purchase their own products and hair. Mr. Quiñones highly recommends you take his training course so you can learn to install the hair unit. There are also a variety of hair units available on our website's shop.
